Age/Disclaimer

* All riders must sign a disclaimer per arena.

* All riders less than eighteen (18) years old must have a parent signature on a notarized disclaimer.

Call-ins

* Rider call-ins will be accepted on Mondays for the appropriate arena.

* The call in number for Tough Enough Rodeo Company is 828-493-7197 OR 828-234-8892.

* When leaving a message on the recorder please state your full name SLOWLY, along with the division you are riding in (Sheep, Calf, Steer, Amateur or Open).

* Your call in will not be accepted if somebody else calls in for you with the exception of your parent.

* Call ins are accepted each Monday (per arena) between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

* Any rider entering after 11:00 p.m. on Mondays (provided there is space available) will be fined as indicated in the "Late & No-Show Fees" for your division.

* If you call in and do not show up to ride the night of the "Buck-Out" you will be fined unless you have an emergency or call to cancel by Friday before the rodeo.

Membership, Entry Fees, & Fines

* Rider entry fees will be accepted between 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. at Tough Enough.

* Any rider entering past the time(s) indicated above will be fined as indicated in the "Late & No-Show Fees" for your division.

* All fine money collected will go to the Association.

* You may not enter any future events at either arena until all fines are paid in full.

* All riders will be required to pay $7.00 to get in the entrance gate (exception - 7 yrs and under). However, the admission fee will be applied toward your entry fee when you register for your event.

* All extra charges for non-members will go to the Association.

* If you transfer your membership to another division, you must pay any difference in the membership fee for the new division.

Dress Code

* All riders and arena personnel are to wear long sleeve shirts of the button down or snap variety and cowboy hats.

* No long sleeve tee shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys or ball caps will be allowed in the arena.

Authorized Personnel

* Only arena personnel are allowed in the arena during the "Buck-Out".

* Riders are not permitted in the back pens or anywhere behind the bucking chutes other than when it is your turn to ride with the exception spotting or pulling another rider's rope.

* One flanker, one spotter and one person to pull your rope on the back of the chute only!

Payoffs

* There will be a payoff in each division provided there is a qualified ride(s).

* Added money will only apply to the open division provided there is a qualified ride(s).

* $100.00 will be added to the open bull event provided there is a qualified ride(s) for less than 10 riders entered and $200.00 will be added if more than 10 are entered.

Scores, Qualifying, Awards

* Scores will be tracked on association members only.

* Your association dues must be paid before any points will be tracked for you.

* You must have at least one qualified (covered) ride for your points to be considered for the buckle.

* The number of entrants accepted in each division for the finals will be announced later in the season.

* You must be a member to ride in the finals this year.

* You may transfer your membership to a higher division provided you pay any up charges; however, you will only be scored in one (1) division.

* First and second place buckles will be awarded in each division for the season. For example, if an amateur rider chooses to move to open, all his/her scores in the amateur division will be dropped and the rider is now competing in the open division only.

* When a rider chooses to move up in a division that rider begins the new division with 0 points.

* Any amateur rider who competes in the open division and wins money 4 times will automatically move into the open division. His/her points will be dropped from the amateur division and the rider will no longer be allowed to compete for the buckle or money in the amateur division.

* Each arena will then go back through the records to tabulate all points that rider scored (but not tracked) while riding in the open division and the rider will be awarded those points in the open division.

* Any rider in the open division is welcome to ride in the amateur division for practice purposes only.

* An open rider may not compete for money or a buckle in the amateur division.

* Any rider known within the "Cowboy Circle" as a pro rider will not be permitted to ride for the buckle or money in the amateur division.

* An amateur may ride in the open division for the nightly jackpot, but will not be scored in the open division for the season finals or buckles (with the exception of a member automatically moving to the open division due to the winning money 4 times rule).

* The amateur rider who wins the first place season buckle must move to the open division the following season.

* Any amateur 18 years (or older) who wins the second place season buckle must move to the open round the following year.

* Any amateur who wins the second place buckle two years in a row, regardless of age, must move to the open round the following year.

Rough Stock Riders

* In each division, as soon as your stock is loaded and you have been called to your chute, you need to get a rope on him.

* You may have one (1) person only to help you pull your rope.

* From the moment your stock is loaded and you have been called to your chute you have three (3) minutes to leave the chute.

* If you exceed the three-minute time limit in the chute you will be disqualified and the stock will be turned out.

* In the event the stock is fighting the chute you must make three (3) attempts to ride out.

* In the event the stock continues to fight the chute, the judge may award you a re-ride at his discretion.

* In any division, if the stock stops during the ride the judge may award you a score and/or a re-ride at his/her discretion.

* In the event you feel there has been a foul, you must jump off the stock at the first safest point (with the exception of the stock stopping during the ride) and immediately call for a re-ride.

* If you attempt to complete the ride after you feel there has been a foul there will be no re-ride awarded.

* You will be fined $10.00 for dismounting stock while it is stopped.

* Any rider not dismounting the stock when the buzzer sounds will be fined $50.00!!!

* All re-rides are awarded at the judge(s) and/or stock contractor's discretion.

* The stock contractor chooses re-ride stock.

* Any rider caught hooking their spur(s) under their rope will be disqualified.

* Absolutely no J-Hooks allowed!

Miscellaneous

* In the event of a "time" discrepancy, the time on the stopwatch of the judge closest to the chute opening (the best view) will be the judge to make the final call.

* In all divisions the riders will be required to ride with one hand. Any rider who touches the livestock with the free arm / hand will be disqualified. Any rider slapping or pushing off the panels will be disqualified.
